Can We Ship Hatching Eggs and Chicks?

It depends. We are NPIP certified and inspected by the Minnesota Board of Animal Health, so we can ship hatching eggs and chicks out of state depending on the receiving state’s regulations. We can for sure ship to: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming. We can ship to the following states with at least 1 month processing time: California, Delaware, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Vermont. We are currently unable to ship to the following states: Alabama, Alaska, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, New Jersey, New York, Virginia and West Virginia.

Shipping Policy

  • There are no returns, refunds or cancellations. No exceptions. If we are unable to fulfill your order we will refund your purchase. 

  • All orders are pre-order items.

  • Your order may be shipped at a different time than requested based on, lay rates, hatch rates and the weather conditions.  We do our best to stick to the selected date and will be in touch if anything changes. 

  • Straight run chicks could be male or female.

  • Egg color is not guaranteed.

  • Not every chick will grow out to be show quality.  If they are an APA recognized breed and variety, they have the potential to be shown, but will need time to mature and develop before that can be determined. 

Chick Shipping

All chick shipments will be held for pick up at the post office.  Watch tracking information closely! We only ship USPS Priority Mail Express 3-Day and we only ship chicks on Mondays (unless there’s a holiday and PO is closed, in which case we will ship on Tuesday).  You will be required to pick up the chicks from your local Post Office ASAP.  Do NOT leave them there.  As soon as you are contacted, pick up the chicks. You'll be responsible for filing a claim with the USPS to be compensated in the event any chicks don't arrive alive.  We are not responsible for chicks that arrive dead. We package all chicks with gro gel, chick starter crumble and a 72 hour heat pack.

Hatching Egg Shipping

Shipped hatching eggs are a significant risk and buyer accepts all risk. All hatching egg shipments will be marked to hold for pick up at the post office, however we cannot guarantee your local post office will honor this.  We suggest contacting your local post office ahead of time and discussing the shipment pickup. We only ship hatching eggs on Mondays and Tuesdays.  You'll be responsible for filing a claim with the USPS to be compensated in the event any eggs arrive cracked.  We are not responsible for hatch rates. If you want guaranteed chicks, order chicks instead of hatching eggs.
